MWCS in Shanghai: Growth across all categories - Significant increases in exhibitors, space booked and attendance figures
The metalworking and CNC Machine Tool Show (MWCS) took place from 19 to 23 September 2018 in conjunction with the China International Industry Fair (CIIF) in Shanghai. The growth of the MWCS – which was rescheduled to an earlier September timeslot this year – shows no signs of slowing down. For the first time, the event occupied four exhibition halls at the National Exhibition and Convention Center. Attracting more than 600 exhibitors (2017: 500) with displays filling a net area of approx. 36,000 m² (2017: 29,500m²), as well as more than 173,000 trade visitors (2017: 168,000) from over 80 countries, the MWCS has consolidated its standing as the leading event for the metal working industries in Asia. The exhibits at the MWCS ranged from machine tools, sheet metalworking and production to tools.
MWCS 2020
MWCS metalworking and CNC Machine Tool Show is an international trade fair for metalworking, which takes place once a year in Shanghai. With the rapid development of China's sheet metal processing industry, China has become the center of the sheet metal processing and manufacturing in Asia and has contributed to MWCS being the leading exhibition throughout the metalworking industry in Asia. Exhibitors show their innovative products and technologies in the field of metalworking and CNC machine tools. More and more the focus is laid on intelligent manufacturing systems with the core technologies of digitization, flexibility and system integration, which will soon replace traditional sheet metal processing due to rising human costs and high equipment costs. As a procurement platform for the metalworking industry the fair presents high-end equipment, solutions and solution approaches to tackle the daily challenges of the industry and to remain nationally and internationally competitive. MWCS metalworking and CNC Machine Tool Show will be held in conjunction with the IAS Industrial Automation Show and the ES Energy Show. Together, the fairs generate a professional audience of more than 120,000 visitors which establish them as an important event in the exhibition landscape of China.
On the whole the organisers welcomed on the 5 days of the fair, from 07. November to 11. November 2017, about 499 exhibitors and 167906 visitors on the MWCS metalworking and CNC Machine Tool Show in Shanghai.
